The meaning of the lyrics of the song "Bez Słów" by the artist "Wolna Grupa Bukowina"

The poem "Bez Słów" ("Without Words") by the Polish band Wolna Grupa Bukowina paints a picture of dreary urban existence and contrasts it with the beauty and freedom of nature.

The first stanza describes the monotonous life of the city dwellers: "People walk the streets... Lost among the street gates... They rush somewhere, chase something, and yet build houses of cards." The image of "houses of cards" symbolizes the fragility and ephemerality of their aspirations.

In contrast to this bleak image, a picture of nature emerges: "And there, a stone dressed in moss... There, you ponder the play of the wind... There, the air has a different taste." Nature is presented as a source of peace, reflection, and true freedom, where one can "find a new world, one's own world".

The second stanza further develops the theme of depersonalization and loss of individuality in the city: "People float through the gray town... Devoid of illusions and dreams... Hiding in their molehills." They "miss the main direction anyway" - possibly a metaphor for the loss of meaning in life.

The third stanza reinforces the feeling of hopelessness: "People live, they trample the asphalt... Doors are closed, a vicious circle." Only "a tear from the eyes" and "trembling hands" betray their suppressed emotions.
