The meaning of the lyrics of the song "Manoeuvres" by the artist "Zeromancer"

The song "Manoeuvres" by the Norwegian band Zeromancer tells the story of a toxic relationship where the lyrical hero is obsessed with the object of his passion, perhaps already destroyed. "Your innocence is easy to stain" - this phrase may indicate the manipulative nature of the hero who tries to blame the victim for his actions, justifying his obsession.

The repeated repetition of "Raise a glass to pain" emphasizes the hero's self-destructive tendencies and his immersion in suffering. He is not looking for a way out of the situation, but on the contrary, savors pain and suffering, turning them into a ritual.
